
The Regulatory intern is responsible for providing assistance to the Regulatory Compliance Manager in identifying local, state, federal, and international regulations pertinent to hygiene products and operations related to Hygiene Business Unit, and for facilitating the procedures and programs necessary for compliance with those regulations.
Responsible for assisting the Regulatory Compliance Manager with product registrations for North America, including state and federal in preparation of submissions and maintenance of existing registrations, including amendments.
Assist the Regulatory Compliance Manager to identify, establish, implement, and maintain procedures to ensure that product labeling, collateral labeling, packaging, Safety Data Sheets (SDSs), tariff classifications, and registrations for all Dairy Hygiene products (including private label and experimental products) meet the requirements of state, federal, and international regulations.
Aid the Regulatory Compliance Manager in coordinating/implementing changes to existing products for all GEA Hygiene products.
Create new or revised SDSs, send to the Regulatory Compliance Manager for review, post to the online database, and distribute to appropriate personnel. Maintain product SDS library and listing by raw material part number for existing production.
Collect data and perform calculations for the annual required hazardous materials reports to the State of Illinois Emergency Response Commission, Will County LEPC, and Romeoville Fire Department.
Education and Experience:
The typical base pay range for this position at the start of employment is expected to be between $15-$20 per hour. GEA Group has different base pay ranges for different work locations within the United States. The pay range is not a guarantee of compensation or salary. The estimated range is the budgeted amount for the position. Final offers are based on various factors, including skill set, experience, location, qualifications, and other job-related reasons.
