
The Machine Operator I position is responsible for the packaging of all products within all specifications, procedures, and set-up.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactory. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required:
High school diploma or equivalent; relevant apprenticeship, formal training, or 2-5 years of experience.
Familiarity with industry practices, concepts, and procedures.
Ability to perform essential duties satisfactorily.
Be certified to operate various forklift trucks.
Be familiar with operating procedures for conveyors, scales, hoists, meters, etc.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to read and interpret metal rule.
Be familiar with procedures such as lock-out/tag-out, confined space, HAZMAT, forklift safety and various other safety measures.

The typical base pay range for this position at the start of employment is expected to be between $15.00-$19.50 per hour GEA Group has different base pay ranges for different work locations within the United States. The pay range is not a guarantee of compensation or salary. The estimated range is the budgeted amount for the position. Final offers are based on various factors, including skill set, experience, location, qualifications, and other job-related reasons. You may be eligible for additional rewards, such as discretionary bonus (based on eligibility) and/or equity awards.
