Regulating valves, Type HRAR, HRAB, HRAR/HRAB with Electric Actuator

Regulating Valves

GEA regulating valves (HRAR, HRAB, HRAR/HRAB with Electric Actuator) are designed for installation in industrial heating and refrigeration systems. Actuation is by hand wheel or ratched. These valves are both regulating and shut-off valves. Rotating the stem clockwise will lower the valve disc onto the valve seat and therefore close the pipe, counter-clockwise rotation will lift the valve disc and open the pipe. The regulating function is enabled by a cone on the underside of the valve disc. The maximum diameter of the cone corresponds to the valve’s nominal diameter. The stem sealing is provided by a threaded bush with spring-elastic PTFE ring (HRAR). The stem sealing is provided by a threaded bush and a metal bellows which ensures a complete hermetic sealing (HRAB). The valves are equipped with a back seal. When the valve is fully opened it is possible to replace the threaded bush and the seal.

Touching lives, lifting communities

The GEA Foundation launched this year with a promise: to make a tangible difference in people's lives. From scholarships in Germany to clean water in Tanzania, the foundation is already proving that when companies commit to giving back, lives change.

Batch milking with the DairyRobot R9650 combines conventional and automatic milking methods, providing consistent milking routines several times a day while integrating the efficiency of automation.

Farmers reap benefits of tailored GEA batch milking system

Automated milking has become the first choice for many modern dairy farms. The benefits are compelling, and with a new batch milking solution from GEA, automated group milking for large dairy herds is possible without the need – and expense – of rebuilding existing facilities.

How Carlsberg keeps 10,000 valves in play

At Carlsberg’s Fredericia brewery, GEA VARIVENT valves are part of a long-game strategy. By reusing core valve bodies, retrofitting actuators and control tops, and planning maintenance around brewing seasons, Carlsberg extends asset life, reduces downtime and supports its ambitious water and sustainability targets.
