Homogenizer Compression Block
The Standard compression block is a monoblock head which pumps the product up to the homogenizing valve at high pressure.
The Standard compression block design is based on the optimization of internal passages, with radiused surfaces and without dead zone that minimize the stresses generated by the pulsating pressure, especially on the areas of intersection of holes and channels for the product passage.
Other unique features complement the head: the valve seats can be easily removed, the configuration of the ball or mushroom pumping valves are fully interchangeable, the aseptic version, the 3-A arrangement, the special materials, the wide range of packages for pistons, the front access for maintenance and replacement of the piston gaskets (packings).
It may surprise you how many products need homogenization in their manufacturing process to make them more compatible with your daily life. Stabilization and a longer shelf life have always been among the highest priorities in many different processing industries but, especially nowadays, as lifestyles continue to change rapidly, they are becoming more and more valued.
What if your favorite chocolate didn’t require cocoa beans and your coffee was locally produced? As climate disruption, price hikes and ethical concerns hit two of our most beloved indulgences, scientists are reimagining how we produce them – using microbes, not monocultures. The goal: preserve the flavor and properties of coffee and chocolate while minimizing carbon emissions and improving food resilience.
Ports now compete not just on logistics, but on sustainability. At Greece’s Piraeus port, an advanced processing and recovery facility recycles ship waste oil into fuel. Equipped with GEA’s high-performance centrifuges, it sets a new benchmark for state-of-the-art, environmentally responsible port operations.
The 2022 CO2 shortage forced breweries to review their dependency on global supply chains. Many were forced to close, unable to carbonate their products. At its breweries in Germany, OeTTINGER GETRÄNKE is turning its own CO2 into a powerful lever for independence and sustainability – with the help of CO2 recovery technology from GEA.
