Clean Oil. Reliable Turbine Operation. GEA’s lube oil treatment systems keep your turbines protected and performing at their best day after day.

In gas turbine power plants, lube oil plays a vital role in protecting rotating components and ensuring smooth, efficient performance. Over time, however, the oil becomes contaminated with fine metal particles, dust, condensate, and decomposition products. These impurities settle in the lube oil sump and accelerate oil aging especially when acids react with contaminants.
Water ingress is another critical issue. If not removed, it promotes oxidation and bacterial growth, leading to premature oil degradation and increased maintenance needs. Left untreated, these issues can compromise turbine reliability and increase downtime.
GEA offers a proven solution: centrifugal separation for purification and dewatering. This method is both efficient and economical, ensuring that your lube oil remains clean and your turbine protected.
Our systems are designed for continuous operation and use advanced centrifugal technology to remove contaminants without interrupting turbine performance. Whether your plant runs on low solid oils or faces challenging operating conditions, GEA’s solution ensures reliable purification and minimal downtime.
For best results, especially with higher-viscosity oils, pre-heating is recommended. GEA systems support electric, steam, or hot water heating to reduce oil viscosity and enhance separation efficiency. Lower viscosity improves clarifying and separating performance, helping maintain oil quality over time.

GEA separators are designed for liquid-based applications. Using centrifugal force, they are used for separating suspensions consisting of two or more phases of different densities, i.e. they can be used for liquid-liquid separation, for liquid-liquid-solid separation or for liquid-solid separation. They are equally as effective at separating liq...

Every plant or machine, which is designed for a reliable long-term operation, requires a control unit that enables the communication between the different system parts. It is one of the most important component that guarantees reliability and efficient operation.
