GEA has extensive experience in the design, manufacture and installation of a range of processing equipment for the Fertilizer Industry. GEA has designed numerous solutions to leading producers throughout the world with designs based on proprietary know-how as well as licensed technology.

Fertilizers and intermediate materials processed include:

  • Ammonium Nitrate AN
  • Ammonium Sulphate
  • Calcium Ammonium Nitrate CAN
  • Compound Fertilizers
  • Diammonium Phosphate DAP
  • Granular Triple Super Phosphate GTSP
  • Monoammonium Phosphate MAP
  • NPK
  • Potash
  • Proprietary Formulations
  • Rock Phosphate
  • Triple Super Phosphate TSP
  • Urea

During the production of fertilizer a large volume of exhaust is generated and needs to be treated. Generally first dust & particle removal apply followed by physical and chemical absorption process.

These by-products often contain components such as  ammonia, phosphate or urea.  To remove these components, GEA designs gas scrubbing  systems consisting of a combination of dry and wet gas  scrubbing stages.
