We are seeking a highly organized and strategic Legal Operations Manager to join our Legal Operations team. This role is essential to enhancing the efficiency, transparency, and performance of our legal function and supporting its broader transformation journey.
As a Legal Operations Manager-AI, Automation & Workflow (f/m/d) you will be responsible for optimizing legal workflows, implementing legal technology solutions, managing key projects, and maintaining strong financial and vendor management frameworks. You will collaborate closely with legal, business, and cross-functional teams to streamline processes and improve our operational capabilities.
The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in legal tech tools, process improvement, project and change management, financial oversight, and vendor management. We are looking for someone who is highly organized, analytically strong, and comfortable driving complex, cross-functional workstreams with a proactive and solution-oriented mindset.
Key Responsibilities:
AI-Driven Workflow Development: Lead the development, integration, and scaling of AI-powered legal workflows, including the application of large language models (LLMs) to enhance legal advisory services. This involves identifying, prioritising, and implementing use cases, managing proof-of-concept phases, and ensuring secure deployment into production environments.
Drive operational excellence by improving processes, workflows, and documentation across the legal department
Establish robust automation processes such as contract generators and low-code/no-code solutions.
Manage legal department budgets, forecasting, reporting, and cost-control initiatives
Oversee external counsel and vendor management, including performance monitoring
Drive implementation, adoption, and optimization of legal technology tools
Support strategic planning, including KPI development and reporting
Coordinate and manage cross-functional projects and initiatives from planning to execution
Provide training to the legal team on new technologies, ensuring seamless adoption and effective use of legal tech tools
Identify opportunities to increase efficiency, reduce risk, and enhance the overall performance of the legal function
Serve as a central point of contact for operational topics within the legal team
Completed degree, e.g. in (business) law, (business) engineering, business informatics, or a comparable field.
5+ years of experience in legal operations, legal financial management, or a comparable in-house role with ownership of complex workflows.
Experience in artificial intelligence, including knowledge of AI models, prompting techniques, and evaluation methods.
Strong expertise in MS365 (Power BI, Power Automate, Excel, etc.) and the ability to quickly learn and adapt to new tools and systems.
Strategic Thinking: Capacity to plan and execute strategies aligned with business goals.
Experience in project management and change management.
