The typical base pay range for this position at the start of employment is expected to be between $78,000-$104,000 per year. GEA Group has different base pay ranges for different work locations within the United States.
The pay range is not a guarantee of compensation or salary. The estimated range is the budgeted amount for the position. Final offers are based on various factors, including skill set, experience, location, qualifications, and other job-related reasons. Technical Support
Provide expert-level support for herd management software (DairyPlan, DairyNet, CowScout, CattleEye) via phone, email, and TeamViewer.
Offer basic support for conventional and automatic milking equipment.
Address and resolve customer technical issues and escalations.
Act as a liaison between GEA dealers and GEA Farm Technologies.
Work with customer service and dealers on software licenses and proper customer coding.
Training & Documentation
Create, deliver, and update training materials for herd management software.
Train dealership technicians; update manuals as new software versions are released.
Field & On-Farm Support
Assist the field technical support team with software updates and troubleshooting.
Provide on-farm support and training as needed.
Consult with customers on herd management performance and software-related issues.
Monitor and assist with test farm installations.
Communication & Reporting
Submit call reports, progress updates, and dealer evaluations to management.
Share feedback on new product needs, design updates, and software improvements.
Coordinate with sales personnel on prospects, issues, and regional insights.
Collaboration & Events
Work with external partners to support software interfaces.
Attend trade shows and industry meetings as required.
Review and revise new and existing installation manuals.
Preferred: B.S. in agricultural, technical, animal science or related field with 4+ years of experience, or 8+ years ‘experience without degree.
Proficiency in Herd Management software and data management.
Practical, on-site experience in production agricultural systems.
Ability to lead and collaborate within a team to achieve common goals.
Flexibility and situational awareness to formulate quick action plans.
Strong training, teaching, and technical presentation skills.
Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
Ability to travel up to 50%
Broad experience in the dairy or other animal agriculture industry
Experience with computer software or networking
