Your responsibilities and tasks:

As part of the team at GEA Heating & Refrigeration Technologies, you will be contributing to the global advancement of industrial refrigeration, heating, and sustainable engineering solutions across various sectors including food, beverage, dairy, and oil & gas. With a focus on reliability, efficiency, sustainability, and long-term cost-effectiveness, our technologies are designed to meet the evolving needs of our diverse clientele.

Standard Vessels and Heat Exchangers

  • Performs all operations in the manufacture of standard separators, receivers, and heat exchangers to required specifications and budgets.
  • Assembles and welds sub assembly parts Installs parts Welds internal and external parts Installs heads and sub arc Sub arc wrappers.
  • Assembles and welds supports, legs and angles Assembles and welds water boxes.
  • Assist in training less experienced employees.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Standard Compressor Packages

  • Performs all operations in the manufacture of standard compressor packages to required specifications and budgets.
  • Assembles and welds sub assembly parts Installs package components.
  • Assembles weld and installs system piping.
  • Assist in training less experienced employees.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Your profile and qualifications:

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum Experience: Two years’ related experience; Lean Six Sigma training/certification preferred.
  • Minimum Skills:  Effective team player in a Lean Six Sigma environment, basic math skills, sound comprehension of safety rules

 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Sit, stand, bend, reach, walk for long periods of time on concrete surface.
  • Must be able to lift/carry 50 lbs. frequently.
  • Sufficient hand, arm and finger dexterity to operate tools and/or machinery.
  • Use of steps, ladders, lifts routinely.
  • May be required to work in rolled steel plate wrappers/pipe in the manufacture of pressure vessels.
  • May be required to work extended hours which may include weekends and holidays.
  • Regularly exposed to manufacturing areas that may require personal protective equipment.
  • Regularly exposed to a manufacturing work environment that is hot, cold, dirty, greasy, wet and/or noisy.
