Manages Branch facility operations including compressor rebuilds and field service. Apprises management of trends in equipment performance or reliability and solutions to warranty situations. Lead and direct day to day activities of the field service teams operating within the region, customer satisfaction, retention, etc. Actively promotes the business to drive business growth.

Your responsibilities and tasks:

  • Actively seek opportunities for business growth via the current route to market.
  • Develop trusting relationships with key decision makers within the market.
  • Travels to potential and existing clients for sales support/evaluation as needed.
  • Positively effect the sales performance of GEA Service – North America while representing the company in a professional manner.
  • Actively promote the GEA CREATE organizational concept – to external customers and internal employees.
  • Actively prepare proposals for smaller scale projects (service projects) including rebuilding service and field service visits.
  • Occasional responsibility for order entry into ERP system, project management, execution, and invoicing
  • Maintain potential Service Orders on Hotlist and appropriate CRM database
  • Participate in the negotiation of offers, quotations, and contracts (customer T&C’s)
  • Provides market feedback (competition, trends, etc.) to Director of Service
  • Assists customer/user in plant system problem solving. 
  • Participate in the preparation of annual service departmental budget and capital appropriation.
  • Interfaces with vendors, customers/users on situations requiring supervisory decision making.
  • Apprises management of trends in equipment performance or reliability and solutions to warranty situations.
  • Reviews time sheets, service tickets, and expense reports prior to submitting to York, PA.
  • Initiates and manages service orders and service agreements.
  • Manage schedule of service work.
  • Provide training, coaching, development, and motivation. 
  • Identify areas of improvement and propose corrective actions that meet challenges and leverage growth opportunities. 
  • Aids in the collection of delinquent accounts.
  • Supervises rebuild technicians.
  • Reviews inspection reports and compressor modification sheets.
  • Assists in compressor research and development.
  • Assists customer/user in problem solving via phone conversations.
  • Performs other duties as assigned. 

Your profile and qualifications:

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or another related field. 
  • At least three years of experience in industrial refrigeration. 
  • At least three years of experience in sales and business development.
  • At least five years of leadership experience. 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with remote field service management strongly considered.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills.
  • Detail orientated.
  • Good managerial and supervisory abilities.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Strategically minded.
