Your responsibilities and tasks:

GEA Food Solutions North America Inc. is a worldwide leader in providing preparation, processing, and packaging total solutions for both the food and non-food industry sectors.  Our global organization offers the most extensive range of advanced solutions on the market today, from single machines to complete turnkey production lines including software-based productivity and line management solutions.​ Considering candidates who will be based in IL but will report to the Frisco office.

  • Provides emergency/unscheduled repairs of equipment and performs scheduled maintenance repairs of equipment.

  • Provides technical support to customers including troubleshooting and problem resolution.

  • Performs mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic troubleshooting and repair of machines.

  • Provides training of customers’ operators and maintenance personnel.

  • Complies with OSHA Safety and Health rules.

Your profile and qualifications:

  • 5+ years hands-on technical experience on electro-mechanical systems as applied to state-of-the-art industrial machinery.
  • Vertical Bagging experience highly preferred.
  • Strong electrical aptitude, including motors, AC & servo drives, electrical circuitry, PLC and PC based control systems.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude including power transmission systems, pneumatics and hydraulics.
  • Experienced troubleshooter on electro-mechanical systems
  • Excellent communications skills - must be proficient in English, have strong listening skills and enjoy working with people.
  • Able to multi-task and work under extreme pressure
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Must be able to work independently.
  • Excellent computer literacy including knowledge of MS Word and Excel.
  • Able to travel extensively (up to 90%) including weekends and on short notice.
  • Some travel may be for extended periods (up to 3 weeks).
