The Field Service Training Manager will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing comprehensive Field Service training programs for our field service technicians who are responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing industrial process equipment in the food, beverage and Pharma industries. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in industrial equipment servicing, along with exceptional leadership and instructional abilities. The ideal candidate for the Field Service Training Manager role has worked within the company or industry for an extended period and has a detailed understanding of its policy and processes or related field is beneficial to understand the full scope of training needs and company policy. Individuals who possess excellent interpersonal skills and work well in a collaborative environment tend to excel in the Training Manager position.

Your responsibilities and tasks:

  • Develop and implement training programs to ensure field service technicians are proficient in installing, troubleshooting, and repairing industrial process equipment for the food, beverage and pharmaceutical industries.
  • Create training materials, including manuals, presentations, videos, and hands-on exercises, to effectively convey technical concepts and procedures.
  • Coordinate and conduct training sessions at company facilities, client sites, and online platforms, ensuring all technicians receive consistent and thorough training.
  • Assess Field Service training needs, customer training needs and performance gaps among field service technicians and adjust training programs accordingly.
  • Stay updated on the latest technologies, industry trends, and best practices related to industrial process equipment servicing, and incorporate relevant information into training materials.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including engineering, product development, and customer support, to gather feedback and insights to enhance training programs.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of training programs through assessments, feedback, and performance metrics, and make recommendations for improvements.
  • Provide ongoing support and mentorship to field service technicians, offering guidance and assistance in resolving complex technical issues.
  • Maintain documentation and records of training activities, certifications, and qualifications of field service technicians.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies throughout training activities and field service operations.

Your profile and qualifications:

  • An Associates degree or a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Industrial Technology, or related field; or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in servicing industrial process equipment, with a strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
  • Proven experience in designing and delivering technical training programs, preferably in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively convey technical concepts to diverse audiences.
  • Strong leadership abilities, with experience in supervising or mentoring field service technicians.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other training development tools.
  • Willingness to travel to various client sites as needed.
  • Certifications in relevant technical fields (e.g., PLC programming, electrical troubleshooting) are a plus.
