GEA Group, located in York, PA, is searching for a Shipping and Receiving III to join our Team!
The Shipping and Receiving III manages the shipment and receipt of all products, materials, and supplies, picks, consolidates, transports, and stages material for use in production processes, ensures inventory accuracy and performs cycle count activities, and prepares/packages equipment and loads finished product onto truck-trailers for shipment.
Responsibilities:
Maintain a clean work area and follows safety regulations
Operate forklifts and overhead cranes
Pick-up, sort, and deliver interdepartmental, Priority, FedEx, UPS, and USPS mail
Transport parts/raw material to and from suppliers
Physically receive and visually inspect incoming material for defects
Unload, receive, and stock, steel (plate, shape, and pre-cut beam)
Stock parts/supplies in proper location(s) after receiving and inspection
Deliver and stock janitorial/office supplies
Retrieve bills of material (BOM) for Manufacturing and Service departments
Issue all parts from BOM and parts counter using ERP system
Acquire necessary skills to operate saw and drill press
Operate band saw to cut steel and pipe to length as required
Complete pertinent shipping and/or receiving paperwork
Complete part shipments (resales, warranty, service, and engineering)
Train Shipping/Receiving Level I and II employees
Follow Quality Assurance procedures for machinery and other products
Pack part per ship loose bills of material for shipment
Package/shrink wrap equipment and/or parts as required for shipment
Provide basic carpentry skills in the construction of boxes, crates, and skids
Place all tags, labels, and markings on equipment and/or parts required for shipment
Rig machinery using proper chains and/or slings for loading and unloading of truck-trailers by overhead crane
Provide necessary packaging, dimensional and weight information, rigging, and ultimate loading of finished product onto truck-trailers for shipment
Handle and distribute paperwork required to make a shipment
Assist in maintaining inventory accuracy
Perform cycle count activities
Perform other duties as assigned
Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent
5-8+ years Warehouse/Shipping & Receiving experience
Semi-skilled – sufficient understanding of simpler operating or office routines applied at the novice or elementary journeyman level
May entail use of simple equipment, machines, or minimal operation of more complex equipment
Works under established work routines which may be closely supervised
Requires valid driver’s license and ability to operate a tow motor
The typical base pay range for this position at the start of employment is expected to be between $22.06 - $26.37 per hour. GEA Group has different base pay ranges for different work locations within the United States.
The pay range is not a guarantee of compensation or salary. The estimated range is the budgeted amount for the position. Final offers are based on various factors, including skill set, experience, location, qualifications, and other job-related reasons. You may be eligible for additional rewards, such as discretionary bonus (based on eligibility) and/or equity awards.
