
About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Product Owner to lead the next-generation development of our DairyNet Mobile App, which supports dairy farm operations worldwide.
You will drive the transition of our mobile ecosystem to a modern Flutter tech stack, shaping the user experience and functionality used by thousands of dairy farmers globally.
This is a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of mobile technology, IoT/connected systems, and agritech, while collaborating with a highly skilled engineering team based in Belfast.
Own the product vision and feature roadmap for the DairyNet App
Work closely with other DairyNet Product Teams, engineering, UX, and product management to define clear product goals and deliver customer‑centric features.
Translate requirements into actionable user stories, acceptance criteria, and backlog items.
Coordinate with other Product Owners to ensure product consistency across the DairyNet ecosystem.
Drive innovation and bring modern mobile best practices into digital solutions for dairy farm management.
Collect, prioritize, and assess feature requests with product management and system architecture.
Maintain well‑structured product, sprint, and epic backlogs in alignment with all stakeholders.
Perform trade‑off analyses and data‑informed decisions to achieve business and user value.
Ensure the product roadmap reflects customer needs and the strategic direction of the DairyNet platform.
Background Options (we welcome diverse paths):
Degree in Agricultural Sciences, Animal Science, or Livestock Management,
OR
Several years of practical leadership experience in management roles on a dairy farm (e.g., herd manager, operations manager, farm supervisor)
Needed Skills & Experience:
Strong general understanding of complex workflows or operational environments — ideally with exposure to dairy herd management
Experience working with or within agile software development teams.
First experience as a Product Owner, Product Manager, Business Analyst, or similar is an advantage.
Strong communication, stakeholder management, and structured working style.
Familiarity with Jira and Confluence is beneficial.
Willingness to travel internationally (up to 10%).
