Your responsibilities and tasks:
- Project Execution: Oversee the entire project lifecycle, ensuring successful completion within scope, cost, quality, and schedule constraints. Ensure projects are delivered on budget.
- Financial Performance: Accountable for the financial results of the project, including achieving margin goals and managing man-hour estimates.
- Project Organisation: Organise and lead the project team, providing strong direction and fostering a culture of ownership to meet project objectives.
- Schedule Management: Plan and maintain the project schedule, monitor progress, and ensure timely delivery.
- Stakeholder Reporting: Report project developments to various stakeholders, including Project Review Meetings and customers
- Standard Compliance: Ensure all tasks are aligned with GEA’s standard practices and procedures, and meet customer expectations within commercial constraints.
- Customer Management: Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction throughout project execution.
- Site Activities: Ensure on-site activities are conducted as planned, with a strong emphasis on Health & Safety. Attend client meetings on-site to facilitate the commissioning of GEA supplied equipment and achieve all KPIs.
- Claim and Change Management: Manage claims and change orders effectively.
- Project Integration: Ensure seamless integration of project activities among stakeholders.
- Risk Management: Perform risk management to mitigate and minimise project risks
- Lessons Learned: Capture and evaluate lessons learned from each project to inform future projects.
- Procurement Planning: Create and manage procurement plans with the supply chain to align fabrication and component receipt with the project schedule.
- Team Leadership: Lead a small team of project engineers without direct line reporting responsibilities.
Your profile and qualifications:
- Degree in Engineering.
- More than 3 years experience as a commercial project manager in a manufacturing, engineering, pharmaceutical, or chemical environment.
- Relevant project management certification.
- Proficiency in applying project management methodologies and skills in commercial project management.
- Experience in handling legal and contractual matters.
- Strong negotiation and dispute resolution skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and build strong relationships.
- High attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Proficient in risk management and mitigation strategies.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver projects on time and within budget.
