
GEA Group in Frisco, TX is searching for a Project Management Intern to join our growing team! This internship provides hands-on experience in a growing food industry, supporting the execution of customer projects. The ideal candidate is eager to learn, well organize, self driven and interested in pursuing a career in project management or food engineering.
We are looking for this intern to work 20-25 hours a week with a flexible schedule based on class schedule.
Responsibilities:
Assist project managers with the setup, administration, and execution of customer projects
Perform basic machining tasks such as purchasing, planning, communication and coordination of projects.
Assist in layout drawings, and follow up on approval process.
Read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints
Coordinate installation activities and support teams at site.
Document work performed and report any issues to supervisors
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and team meetings
Maintain a clean and organized work area, following safety protocols at all times
Other duties as assigned by supervisor
High School degree or equivalent
Currently enrolled in a technical program (Industrial Engineering, Food Engineering, Project Management or related field) or recent graduate
Basic understanding of project management and tools is preferred
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
Good communication and teamwork skills
Willingness to learn and take direction
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
The typical base pay range for this position at the start of employment is expected to be between $19.00 - $26.00 per hour. GEA Group has different base pay ranges for different work locations within the United States.
The pay range is not a guarantee of compensation or salary. The estimated range is the budgeted amount for the position. Final offers are based on various factors, including skill set, experience, location, qualifications, and other job-related reasons. You may be eligible for additional rewards, such as discretionary bonus (based on eligibility) and/or equity awards.
