GEA has once again maintained its top-tier CDP rating compared to the previous year. The rating recognizes the transparency and effectiveness of GEA's climate protection measures and is an crucial indicator for investors, customers, and other stakeholders. GEA has above-average ratings in all 16 categories, with top marks in 12 categories.
Dr Nadine Sterley, Chief Sustainability Officer at GEA: "Sustainability and profitability go hand in hand at GEA. Sustainability is the foundation of our Mission 30: We develop technologies that enable entire industries to operate in a more climate-friendly manner – while reducing our own emissions along the value chain. Our renewed inclusion in the CDP A List confirms that we are on the right track – it shows that we collect and report our climate and environmental data with maximum transparency."
GEA has consistently developed its climate targets over the recent years. Both medium and long-term targets have been validated by the Science Based Targets Initiative (SBTi). By 2040, GEA aims to reduce greenhouse gas emissions along the entire value chain to net zero. As the first member of the DAX index family, GEA obtained a "Say on Climate" resolution from its shareholders in 2024 based on a comprehensive 2040 climate plan to become climate neutral. By 2030, at least 60 percent of the Group's sales are to be generated with sustainable solutions.
GEA has been participating in the CDP assessment since 2021. In 2025, the company received an A rating for climate protection and an A- rating for water management.
