メタノールやエタノールなどの短鎖アルコールは蒸留によって濃縮されます。水蒸気揮発性が低い長鎖アルコールは流下膜蒸発プラントで濃縮できます。蒸気相を通じての製品損失を最小限に抑えるため、分離器には洗浄カラムが装備されていることがよくあります。
