Auto splicing unit
System for automatic changing of film reels without stopping the wrapping machine

System for automatic discharge of the lollipops with spliced film or for counting lollipops and discharging a defined number via two different chutes
Airco e-box
Unit, which cools the electrical cabinet, to protect the servo drives. For ambient temperatures of > 25 degrees Celsius.
Service and maintenance
Modem to connect between customer and GEA Weert. Will enable remote support and intervention (if agreed) in the area of the electronics. Supports up to four machines.
Back up power supply for controls
In case of power cut, system provides power to 24VDC circuit of the machine, to secure machine setting.
Virtual network connection
In case of broken touch screen, machine can be operated via laptop.
Spare parts package
Covers the use of the majority of wear and tear parts for approximately 2 years. Costs less than 3% value machine.

This dedicated container filling system can be directly linked to the wrapping machines. The container filling system is designed to run with one type of container box at a time. On request there is also a possibility to fill the lollipops in boxes at speeds up to 20 containers per minute. Via automatic infeed of the lollipops out of the GEA Aquarius PopCooler B unit the lollipops are transported via, easy to clean, food grade belts towards the GEA Aquarius wrapping machines and after being wrapped to be transported further to a single point to be packed further for transportation.

Together with Mona Neubaur, Minister of Economic Affairs of the German state of North Rhine-Westphalia, GEA CEO Stefan Klebert has opened a new technology center for pharmaceutical freeze-drying systems in Elsdorf, Germany. GEA employs approximately 260 people at the facility, which combines research and development with production and service under one roof.
