More Kilowatts per Euro - GEA compressors at improved top speeds (starting with a welcome by Dr. Michael Herbermann, CEO of GEA Refrigeration Technologies)
GEA has increased the maximum top speeds for several of its reciprocating and screw compressors. The reciprocating compressor models GEA Grasso V 700, V 1100, V 1400, and V 1800, formerly at maximum speed of 1,200 rpm, can now be operated with NH3 up to 1,500 rpm. For GEA Grasso LT screw compressor types R, S, and T the allowable speed for NH3 has increased from previous maximum 3,600 rpm to 4,500 rpm. All the respective compressors have undergone diligent testing, some of them have been integrated in packaged GEA components and have been running successfully in the field for a decade now.
Breakthrough technology - semi-hermetic compressors bringing NH₃ into new markets - GEA CompaX and GEA BluQ
Due to new regulations the use of F-Gases worldwide is being restricted. For GEA, the way ahead is clear - go green! The GEA screw compressor factory has more than 50 years of refrigeration experience and has always preferred the use of natural refrigerants. What is already a standard for industrial refrigeration can also be the solution for air conditioning and commercial refrigeration. With its excellent thermodynamic properties, ammonia is one of the most efficient refrigerants and the most environmentally friendly.
Back to the future - Refrigeration technology with natural refrigerants in times of climate change
Learn from the experts why to make the switch from F-Gas refrigerants to the more environmentally-friendly, future-proof, energy-efficient, natural refrigerants such as ammonia and CO2. Together with Professor Michael Kauffeld from the Karlsruhe University of Applied Sciences and David Blankley, Product Manager Advanced Refrigeration, GEA we look at the regulations surrounding the phasing out of F-Gas plants and their economic replacement with natural refrigerants, such as ammonia and CO2.
Industrial heat recovery: decarbonize heating processes and reduce operating costs
Heat production and subsequent chilling account for a large amount of energy cost and CO2 emissions for food, beverage and dairy processes. Holistically driven, expertly customized cooling and heating solutions play a key role in achieving sustainability in those industries. Join this webinar on industrial heat recovery, entitled “Decarbonize heating processes and reduce operating costs”. GEA experts, Robert Unsworth and Kenneth Hoffmann, will provide clear insights on how you can integrate process solutions with cooling & heating demands in the best possible way. They will also introduce how GEA can help you maximize your energy efficiency and reduce your carbon footprint and operating costs.
Smart heat pump solutions
Critical climate conditions have intensified the focus on emission reductions, energy efficiency and decarbonization. Considering that 96% of thermal energy demand goes to provide process, space and district heating and is predominantly based on fossil fuel combustion, the dramatic potential of efficient and environment-friendly heat pumps is obvious. GEA provides an array of industrial equipment for heat pumps applications and is one of the very few OEM’s offering complete heat pump solutions fully configured and factory tested. Whether it is the wide range of heat pump compressor or compressor units, completely standardized to customized heat pumps, or the new chiller-heat pump combination – GEA customers can rely on a perfect solution for nearly all temperature and capacity requirements.
How Artificial Intelligence (AI) can save on installation and operating costs of refrigeration systems.
This presentation aims to improve the understanding of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and show the benefits to machine manufacturer’s customers such as contractors and end users. The main benefit is to save money during installation: by gaining knowledge through AI, the design of a whole plant can be optimized to reduce initial costs. During operation of plants and machines, AI can also help to run complex systems at optimum efficiency, lengthen the time between overhaul (TBO), increase reliability and assist in fault detection and root cause analysis, all of which saves time and money.
Optimizing refrigeration systems with GEA Service
This presentation will show you how the support and service solutions from GEA are helping its customers to optimize refrigeration systems.
The best of both - efficient cooling and heating with one product - GEA Blu-Red Fusion
GEA launches an innovative solution that combines a chiller and heat pump in one smart product. Its modules are a chiller-stage and a heat pump stage, both based on the successful, existing GEA Blu chiller and GEA Red heat pump models. In addition to relying on well-established technologies, nearly two decades of heat pump experience helped transforming previously customized units into an efficient, risk-free plug-and-play product. The new combination is fully configured, efficiency optimized, and suited for combined cooling and heating applications, or for cooling purposes only when no heating demand exists, and the heat pump stage is inactive.
Decarbonizing district heating with heat pump technology
Decarbonizing district heating systems is rapidly gaining popularity to improve overall energy efficiency and minimize the impact on the environment. Within this trend, heat pump technology is becoming increasingly recognized as a sustainable way to provide low-cost energy with reduced CO2 emissions. Join this GEA webinar on District Heating entitled “Decarbonizing district heating with heat pump technology”. Svend Vinther Pedersen, senior consultant from The Danish Technological Institute and GEA district heating expert Kenneth Hoffmann will provide their insights on how to decarbonize district heating and decrease energy bills with heat pumps.
