Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
- Become knowledgeable in GEA FT's "Robotic Milking Concept" and "Good Cow Milking" techniques, with basic hygiene knowledge.
- Support, train and provide expert level on-farm and remote support on how to use DairyPlan, DairyNet suite CattleEye, and CowScout software while being knowledgeable on other industry software
- Be the knowledge expert for Canada specific reporting and documentation requirements (DairyTrace, ProAction, CQM, etc)
- Provide basic technical support to GEA dealers in North America via phone, email, and TeamViewer for conventional and automatic milking equipment.
- Analyze pre-sale and pre-start-up herds, prepare dealers and customers for transition, and champion successful milking system startups and perform follow up support.
- Create, update and deliver trainings for herd management software offerings to dealership technicians.
- Assist field technical support team, perform software updates as needed and monitor test farms
- Consult with dealers and customers on herd management/performance and software related issues.
- Address customer technical issues/escalations and resolutions.
- Work with external partners to train on GEA software and support software interfaces
- Communicate with management by means of call reports, progress reports, and dealer evaluations.
- Cooperate and communicate with sales personnel by making them aware of new prospects, potential problems or anything concerning their dealers and area of responsibility.
- Document and report the need for new products, design changes, and software changes to existing products to your manager.
- Attend trade shows and industry meetings when needed.
