
As a Working Student in Corporate Accounting (f/m/d) you will play an active role in shaping projects and processes within the corporate accounting department of a DAX-listed company.
Reporting directly to and working closely with the Head of Corporate Accounting, you’ll gain hands-on experience in strategic initiatives and day-to-day operations of the Corporate Accounting function.
Your key responsibilities (indicative, as the exact role will also be shaped based on your individual strengths):
1. Support Special Projects
Assist in project planning and structuring: Create templates for project plans and help track milestones and timelines of the important projects in the Corporate Accounting department
Prepare status reports: Summarize progress for the different sub-department Heads and the Head of Corporate Accounting and other stakeholders.
Coordinate project meetings: Schedule appointments, prepare agendas, and document meeting minutes.
2. Drive Process Optimization
Understand and document processes in a structured and standardized way.
Identify automation opportunities: Analyze repetitive tasks and propose digital solutions in collaboration with the department's Innovation Task Force.
Develop templates for reports, presentations, and project documentation.
3. Manage Data and Information
Build and maintain a central project repository
Support KPI monitoring: Assist in defining, collecting, and analyzing key metrics.
4. Provide Operational Relief
Act as a communication interface between departments, other business units, and external stakeholders (e.g., auditors).
Provide hands-on help in the different sub-departments in times of workload peaks.
Help with administrative tasks: Organize meetings and follow up on action items.
Analytical and structured Business/Finance student with a hands‑on mindset, eager to contribute to Corporate Accounting in a DAX‑listed environment.
Comfortable preparing concise status updates for senior stakeholders and collaborating across departments.
Your qualifications:
Accounting foundation: Solid knowledge of financial accounting and IFRS basics; initial exposure to consolidation topics is a plus.
Project support & PMO: Able to structure project plans, track milestones/timelines, prepare status reports for sub‑department leads and the Head of Corporate Accounting, document and follow up on meeting minutes.
Process excellence: Open for change and eager to continuously improve processes; proactively identifies automation opportunities and collaborates with innovation stakeholders.
Data & KPI skills: Understanding of how to build and maintain basic databases (Excel/Access); supports KPI definition, data collection, and analysis to drive insight‑based steering.
Tools & automation: Advanced Excel (incl. pivots, formulas; VBA and PowerQuery basics desirable), PowerPoint/Word; familiarity with Power BI for reporting/monitoring; experience with SharePoint for repository management desirable.
Communication & collaboration: Clear, concise writing of summaries, minutes, and follow‑ups; confident stakeholder interface across functions and departments; dependable support during workload peaks.
Languages: German (fluent), English (advanced)
