A brighter future for the next generation
At GEA, we fully embrace our purpose of “Engineering for a better world” – both for customers and for the benefit of society as a whole. We engage in the communities we serve with the aim of making a positive and lasting impact.
By giving of our resources, expertise and time, we help ensure a brighter future for the next generation. That’s why we have set a target to donate 1 percent of our net profit annually.
Through our GEA Foundation, a limited liability nonprofit company, we positively impact the lives of individuals and communities around the globe.
STEM education
We sponsor diverse educational programs, particularly those with a strong focus on equal opportunities and STEM (science, technology, engineering & mathematics).
Child poverty reduction
We provide support to non-profit organizations that provide essentials like food and shelter, to give children a chance for a brighter future.
Infrastructure access
We offer assistance for projects that enable and improve access to clean water, renewable energy and medical care.
Disaster relief
We provide support in cases of extraordinary events, such as natural disasters or humanitarian crises.

GEA supports UNICEF, Viva con Agua, SOS-Kinderdorf and Deutsche Universitätsstiftung, among others, to deliver a positive benefit to communities and young people around the world.
UNICEF
Through our partnership with UNICEF, GEA helps build a future-ready generation, providing young people in India and Brazil with access to STEM-related education and training opportunities to equip them for the jobs of tomorrow.
Viva con Agua
Viva con Agua’s core mission is providing access to clean water for drinking and hygiene to communities in need. With support from GEA, Tanzanian families gain access to safe drinking water and wash facilities.
SOS-Kinderdorf
Children sometimes require temporary or even long-term housing. With a charitable gift from GEA, SOS-Kinderdorf Düsseldorf will provide safe accommodation for young people and children in need.
Deutsche Universitätsstiftung
Thanks to a donation to the Deutsche Universitätsstiftung from GEA, ten bachelor students in STEM studies across Germany receive a scholarship and mentoring.

Through strategic partners, GEA supports global and local projects in STEM education, child poverty reduction, infrastructure access and disaster relief.
India: STEM training for the next generation
Through UNICEF, GEA supports STEM training for teachers and students in marginalized and rural areas of India.
Peru: Empowering girls in STEM
By supporting UNICEF in Peru, adolescent girls are given opportunities to overcome gender barriers and build STEM skills.
