GEA AWP check valves are automatically activated locking units. They are opened by the pressure exerted by the working medium upon the valve plate. As soon as the flow is interrupted or the flow direction is reversed, the valve locks automatically. The locking function is supported by the elastic force of the spring or by the valve plate's own weight. GEA AWP check valves with a clamp design are suitable for installation in the refrigerant cycles of industrial refrigeration systems. They are installed on the pressure or suction side of compressors, or in pipes for which only one direction of flow is permitted. GEA AWP check valves are maintenance-free. Any defects that in the functional performance of the valves can be repaired.
