Discover the technological benefits of the ConsiGma® Coater
The ConsiGma® coater from GEA is a revolutionary, high performance tablet coating technology that gently and accurately deposits controlled amounts of coating materials on tablets — even if they are extremely hygroscopic or friable. Originally designed to be an integral part of the ConsiGma® continuous tableting lines, but also available as a standalone unit for batch operations, the ConsiGma® coater is able to process small quantities of tablets at very high rates, offering improved heat and mass transfer.
This training course, comprising both theoretical and practical sessions, covers the principles and practice of tablet coating in a ConsiGma® coater, including a general introduction to coating, how the ConsiGma® machine compares with conventional systems, process details and some troubleshooting guidelines.
During the practical lessons, the coating concept will be demonstrated as an adjunct to the classroom-based training. Participants will be required to actively engage in the applied sessions by answering questions and offering suggestions based on their learnings.
An ideal introduction to the GEA ConsiGma® coater, the course is available at the GEA Pharma Solids Center in Wommelgem, Belgium, or can be conducted at the customer’s site. This interactive methodology enables the trainer — as well as the participants — to complement the theoretical training topics with practical experience.
For health and safety reasons, the course is limited to a maximum of six participants and has been designed with formulation/process development and R&D scientists, team leaders/supervisors, quality assurance (QA) and validation staff in mind.
