    Change in GEA Supervisory Board

    Colin Hall (47) was appointed to the Supervisory Board of GEA Group Aktiengesellschaft by order of the Düsseldorf local court. Colin Hall, an American national, is Head of Investments at Groupe Bruxelles Lambert (GBL), simultaneously holding the position of CEO at Sienna Capital, a 100 percent subsidiary of GBL. He succeeds Prof. Dr. Ing. Werner J. Bauer (67), who resigned from the Supervisory Board for personal reasons as of November 12, 2018. It is planned that Colin Hall will stand as a candidate for election by the shareholders in April 2019.

    GEA builds Dairygold’s next milk powder plant in Ireland

    In July of this year, GEA received the order for Dairygold’s next milk powder plant in Ireland in Mallow, County Cork. The scope includes one new spray drier (GEA’s Multi-Stage Dryer - MSD® size 1000), one new evaporator to match (type 3 MVR), one new 12MT/hr x 25kg GEA powder packing LI Line (Limited Intervention) including N2 gas packing, as well as the associated powder transfer and handling systems.

    In order to treat the livestock manure to enable the utilization of the associated nutrient surpluses, GEA has developed application-specific GEA manure Decanter lines. Through the continuous removal of solids and the high dewatering performance, the use of GEA decanters offers an efficient and economical solution for agriculture. The clarified manure is largely free of phosphate and can thus be spread on land without causing any environmental problems. Most of the phosphor is in the solid phase and can easily be transported to nutrient-deficient areas.

    GEA has supplied centrifugal separation equipment to Suape Energia, a major power producer in Brazil. L’utile operativo è cresciuto ancora, e ciò dimostra che cominciano a farsi sentire gli effetti della maggiore efficienza derivante dall’applicazione del programma “Fit for 2020”. Sia l’EBITDA operativo che il margine EBITDA hanno raggiunto un livello mai ottenuto in precedenza in un secondo trimestre. Nel periodo in oggetto sono state registrate uscite non ricorrenti per circa 134 milioni di euro, che comprendono circa 115 milioni di euro di spese di ristrutturazione sostenute nell’ambito del programma “Fit for 2020”.     GEA repays financial liabilities ahead of schedule

    GEA Group Aktiengesellschaft reduced its financial liabilities ahead of schedule by over EUR 400 million in the past few weeks, using various measures. A further repayment of EUR 100 million ahead of schedule is planned for January 2015.
