GEA´s Acquisitions, Divestments and M&A Criteria

GEA has a long history of mergers and acquisitions. The overall objective of GEA’s M&A strategy is to acquire attractive companies that will enable it either to tap new markets or to close specific gaps in its range of offerings in its traditional markets.

Nevertheless, in March 2019, GEA’s Executive Board announced a strategic realignment of the company and its organization, as part of which GEA will refrain from any substantial acquisitions for the time being. The purpose of this initiative is not only to sharpen the focus on operations, but also to concentrate all our internal efforts in 2019 on the restructuring of the Group.
