Devices to protect refrigeration systems from excess pressure.

Safety Valves

GEA safety valves are designed for installation in the refrigerant cycles of industrial refrigeration systems. By default safety valves are meant for protecting refrigeration systems and their components from excess pressure. Once the set response pressure is reached GEA safety valves begin to open These valves work both dependent and independent of the back pressure.

Safety Valves type SVA & SVU

SVU Safety Overflow Valves

GEA SVU safety valves are designed for installation in the refrigerant cycles of industrial refrigeration systems. By default safety valves are meant for protecting refrigeration systems and their components from excess pressure (see also DIN 8975 part 7). They comply with the technical regulations of the German Technical Control Board (TÜV) and with AD2000 regulations. Once the set response pressure is reached GEA safety valves begin to open. They open within a 10 % pressure increase until the designed limit of the lift is reached. When the pressure drops again they start closing once the set response pressure is reached. They are completely closed within a pressure drop of 10 % below the set response pressure. These valves work independently of back pressure.

SVA Safety Relief Valves

GEA SVA safety valves are designed for installation as relief valves in the refrigerant cycles of industrial refrigeration systems. By default safety valves are meant for protecting refrigeration systems and their components from excess pressure (see also EN 378 part 2). These valves work dependently of back pressure.
