SVML-XL Continuous Packaging Machine

High speed packaging system designed for short-cut pasta and dry granular food

In order to satisfy the latest requests coming from the market, GEA designed an evolution of the SVML packaging machine to work at high speed either with small bags and with catering bags: the resulting SVML-XL model has a max. film width of 800 mm and it packs up to 5kg with small-medium products.

The SVML-XL can be equipped with an interchangeable high-speed hot bar sealing jaw and a heat impulse sealing jaw: the machine can switch from one to the other, according to the type of film that it is being used, maintaining the efficiency in terms of high speed and quality.

Electrical control of the SVML series is managed through motion control integrated in the PLC and the main machine movements are driven by independent brushless motors.

SVML-XL Machine Performance (referred to 500 g and 5 kg bags of tubetti n.102 Pavan Dies and Moulds Division Catalogue - 400 g/l):

• Packaging speed: up to 100 bags per minute (pillow bags 500 g)
• Packaging speed: up to 20 pillow bags/m (pillow bags 5 kg).

SVML-SDFQ - Continuous Motion Vertical Packaging Machine

The packaging system permits the maximum flexibility in terms of typologies of bags, ensuring high degree of speed and quality of the packaging.

The group is composed of the vertical packaging machine mod. SVML (600 mm max film width) combined with the DFQ Carousel made of motor-driven stations where the brick bags are produced. According to the size of the bags, the carousel is equipped with interchangeable paddles that help the handling of the bag during the passage through the stations.

Depending on the needs, the brick bags can be closed with adhesive tape, with label but also with both (alternatively).

The packaging machine can be equipped with a bypass conveying system which is located at the bottom of the machine body and which allows to make alternatively pillow bags. The change from the pillow to the double square bottom phase is set simply recalling the receipt from the touchscreen panel.

The machine parameters are managed electronically thanks to the operator interface touchscreen type color panel for memorization, control and self-diagnostic of the operation parameters and to help the operator identify easily the eventual machine stop causes.

• Packaging speed: up to 90 bags per minute (double square bottom bags);
• Packaging speed: up to 110 bags per minute (pillow type)
