GEA offers a range of self-contained pilot plants for product testing and process development. These are available for use at the GEA facility in Hudson, Wisconsin or can be hired for on-site testing.
Membrane Filtration Pilot Plant C
The Model C membrane filtration pilot plant is a flexible unit for testing ceramic membranes on low pressure Membrane Filtration and Ultra Filtration applications. Model C pilot plants can be configured to run higher pressure Ultra Filtration/Nano Filtration applications as well as other tubular membranes (inorganic or polymeric).
Membrane Filtration Pilot Plant L
The Model L membrane filtration pilot plant is designed for performing preliminary membrane screening tests for all membrane filtration technologies (Membrane Filtration, Ultra Filtration, Nano Filtration and Reverse Osmosis) quickly and economically on small volumes of feed material.
Membrane Filtration Pilot Plant P
The pilot unit allows long term testing accurately displaying key process parameters by means of the PLC in the operator panel in conjunction with carefully selected field instruments and control valves. This gives significant advantages in scale up compared with manually controlled pilot units.
Membrane Filtration Pilot Plant T
The GEA Filtration Model T pilot plant is a pilot-scale plant designed for application development of ceramic microfiltration and ultrafiltration.
Membrane Filtration Pilot Plant U
The Model U membrane filtration pilot plant is a flexible unit to perform pilot studies on the full range of membrane filtration technologies (Membrane Filtration, Ultra Filtration, Nano Filtration and Reverse Osmosis) under a wide range of operating conditions.
Membrane Test Facilities at Karlsruhe R&D Center
Availability for laboratory and pilot plant testing for different kind of membrane filtrations systems. European Test centre for GEA applications not related to dairy. With state-of-the-art pilot plants and test benches our R & D Center is optimally equipped for testing in the fields of membrane filtration technology.
Pilot Testing and Application Development
Small to medium scale pilot plant testing capability to support any of the GEA standard membrane filtration pilot plants. This North American facility can support the full range of cross-flow membrane filtration solutions across all of the served markets. Also acts as the technology center for the GEA global filtration business.
