GEA applies its compression and process refrigeration expertise to meet complex requirements of Tengizchevroil – a major oil producing company.
When replacement was due for a 20-year-old tunnel freezer in the Frosta plant in Lommatzsch, Germany, the company decided for a freezer system from GEA. Convincing features of the GEA system included a completely welded, insulated case in modular configuration, sequential defrost functions and engineering improvements. Freshly harvested vegetables can now be processed faster at Frosta, since the freezer, with its throughput of up to 17 metric tons per hour, enables approx. 15% greater throughput.
GEA demonstrated its ability to apply its process refrigeration expertise to meet the requirements of Linde Engineering North America - as part of a United States-based project - from the production stage to refrigeration and boil-off.
GEA has supplied its top-performing Electromix pump to a farmer in Ceredigion, South Wales to pump sand-laden manure over 200 metres away from the cow shed to the slurry store. The site is at Trefaesfach Farm in Ceredigion. Farmers Simon and Cristopher Stanfield decided to improve the housing for their dairy cows by building a new, 300 ft-long shed, adjacent to the existing buildings. The Stanfields decided to use deep sand bedding as it is both comfortable for the animals and it helps to reduce the incidences of mastitis.

Anders! lets craft beer lovers try out their ideas without having their own brewery: Anders! Brouwerij from Halen, Belgium brews craft beer to customers’ recipes in any conceivable combination. The new GEA equipment increases the contract brewery's capacity and efficiency.
The ApolloMilkSystem makes all the difference for Ed Newton from Millers Court Farm. It leaves nothing to chance when taking care of the welfare of his dairy herd. It dips, teats and flushes the milking cluster automatically after every milking thereby achieving simultaneously the key aims of high quality milk, improved labor productivity, better milk yield and very good udder hygiene.
Celebrating GEA Pharma China’s first overseas project, the company has installed a formulation process system in JW Life Science's Dangjin facility to produce TPN products. JW has recognized that whatever the application — whether food, pharma or even a combination of the two — GEA has the technology, the know-how and the global presence to provide the perfect blend of equipment, expertise and guidance to meet those requirements.
“Why are we still outsourcing our sludge dewatering?”, water-link was wondering in early 2012. Together with GEA, the Antwerp water company has built a container with a polymer make-up unit and a decanter centrifuge to optimise sludge dewatering.
