Dubai Technology Week 2022

The TECHNOLOGY WEEK is a professional training course organized by GEA with the aim of sharing knowledge and expertise on food production technology. It is organized in different countries to allow professionals from around the world to participate. In February 2022 it will be held in Dubai and will focus on two professional training modules: Dry Pasta and Snacks & Breakfast Cereals.

The seminar will focus on issues such as raw materials and pasta, fundamentals of rheology, thermodynamics, heat treatment and drying process, production technology and processing, energy recovery and efficiency, hygiene and hygienic safety, process automation, packaging, non conventional pasta.

What's included:

  • 32 hours of classes: attendance to all training sessions, trials, sensory tests plus access to all presentations and proceedings articles
  • Certificate of attendance
  • Meals (Breakfast, Coffee Break, Lunch)
  • Accomodation at the Sheraton Jumeirah Beach Resort in Dubai
  • Virtual visit into the GEA PEM Technology Center

Program

MODULE 1: DRY PASTA TECHNOLOGIES 
7th - 8th February 2022
The first module will focus on Dry Pasta manufacturing: long and short cut, special pasta.

Main topics will be:

  • Raw materials characteristics and properties
  • Traditional long-cut and short-cut dry pasta processing: mixing, extrusion and drying
  • Alternative dry pasta processing: differences and solutions
  • Virtual visit into the GEA PEM Technology Center with pilot plant in operation
  • Definition of finished product quality: analytical and organoleptic methods

MODULE 2: SNACKS & BREAKFAST CEREALS
9th - 10th February 2022
The second module will tackle the extrusion technology applied to snacks and breakfast cereals.

Main topics will be:

  • GEA PEM's technological solutions for the world of snacks and breakfast cereals
  • Segmentation of snack pellet categories
  • Evaluation of raw materials and process for potato, cereal and legumes pellets
  • Directly expanded: salted or sweet and the use of pre-cooked flours
  • Innovative products
  • Virtual visit into the GEA PEM Technology Center with pilot plant in operation

Course Fees

MODULE 1 - Dry Pasta: 1,400€
MODULE 2 - Snacks & Breakfast Cereals: 1,400€ 

FULL Course Fee: 2,400€

Payment to be made upon receipt of proforma invoice. In case of non attendance, the course fee cannot be refunded. The course will take place if the minimum number of 15 attendees is reached; in the negative, the course fees will be entirely refunded.
