  • Collect information in order to optimize energy consumption in the plant
  • Access the applications for the plant management
  • Store data and share it with the customers and the supplier (GEA)
  • Improve predictive maintenance trough the collection and reprocessing of data coming from the sensors installed in the plant. This allows to manage many machines with the same level of integrated information regardless of technology in place. 

Moreover, GEA will present the new Augmented Reality technology, which allows to:

  • Improve and simplify maintenance
  • Implement the procedures for maintenance and use found in the manual
  • Speed up the spare parts orders

For the 2022 edition, IPACK-IMA will focus on the competitiveness of digital technology for its exhibiting companies: in collaboration with MindSphere World, a thematic itinerary will be created among the stands thanks to a project aimed at highlighting the success of application cases of Internet-of-Things technologies in the world of processing and packaging. 

This innovation involves IPACK-IMA's most avant-garde digital exhibitors, GEA will join the initiative by presenting success cases of adoption of Edge and Cloud.

New Food

New Food is driven by changing consumer expectations, the New Food market is growing rapidly. For GEA, this development presents exciting growth opportunities. Thus, New Food will be a key lever in helping our customer to succeed. By getting alternative raw materials such as grains and proteins, we can produce new products. We will focus on ideas such as meat analogues, healthy snacks, high-protein pasta which can also include gluten free or organic products, new shapes, sizes, and textures.

In the morning, we will offer a nice, relaxing and fresh start with some New Food products made by our Bakery technologies.

In the late afternoon, we will close off with an entertaining and fulfilling experience dedicated to Pasta and Snacks, that will enrich your taste buds.

The twin-screw cooking-extruder with higher cooking capacity and versatility, featuring enhanced process capabilities.

The new high-capacity twin-screw extruders are able to increase productivity by up to 40%. GEA engineers have used their experience and know-how to increase the cross-sectional area, rotation speed and pitch of the screws on the new machines, while maintaining the extruder footprint and screw length. This also allows customers to upgrade existing machines without buying a new machine or changing their plant layout.

The double sheet forming machine presents the new vacuum system that permits to add very soft fillings with up to 90% humidity and with large pieces inside the ravioli products.

GEA FreshPasta Former 1 C540 – Fast-changing moulds

Single sheet forming machine designed for products like single sheet cappelletti and ravioli.

The machine is entirely washable, thanks to its stainless-steel components. The scrape cutting is placed on an extractable carriage in order to facilitate the washing process. Moreover, all the procedures involved in mould change and machine washing can be carried out without the need of tools.

Mould with desmodromic camshafts enables the machine to perform more efficiently in terms of moulding speed and precision. Forks with independent rack allow for a reduction of the amount scrapes produced.

Automatic timing of the mould and quick mould change (5 minutes).

Electric Oven

When baking with an electric oven, the only discharge to the atmosphere are those particulates which are released from the product during the baking process. 

GEA designs, configures and installs electrically heated tunnel ovens for different types of products, with working widths of up to 1200 mm. The modular design allows us to customize the heating system and the zone length for each zone to meet customer requirements.

DFV - High performance extruder

The DFV   cookie depositors from GEA offers high capacity production. The units effortlessly and efficiently handle a variety of mixes for a wide range of products, including smooth mix and wire cut biscuits from fluid, whipped or stiff dough, and mixes that contain solid particles such as chocolate or nuts.  

Thanks to the stainless steel design, the machine allows for food contact and easy cleaning operations.

DFV - High capacity extruder

DFE - Enhanced volumetric piston depositor

The new DFE features the possibility to remove the parts in food contact, allowing for easy maintenace and cleaining operations.

The DFE model volumetric cylinder depositor from GEA is ideally suited to depositing muffin, cake and cupcake mixes. Guaranteeing high accuracy, the DFE machine has been designed to operate on continuous running conveyors or with tunnel ovens.  Versatility is a key feature of the DFE depositor. The system is available with a fixed head, a vertical movement head, or with both vertical and horizontal movement heads.  By using brushless motors to drive the depositing head  for increased throughput and capacity and weight accuracy.

The latest version of the Tartomatic represents the culmination of many years of design and technology expertise and consultation with both industrial-scale and artisan producers. The versatile Tartomatic machine can easily produce a wide variety of pie shells, quiches and cheesecake bases. GEA boosts high-speed packaging system for long-cut pasta with artificial intelligence and new safety standards.

By integrating a faster, highly reliable system comprising a technologically advanced dosing and packaging unit, this machine enables pasta manufacturers to increase their product flow, minimize their product loss, simplify line control, and ensure smooth filling in the packaging process.

GEA H-Packer SO Plus – Discover it for the first time at Ipack-Ima 2022

High speed Packaging system specifically designed for long-cut pasta.

In this upgraded version, the H-Packer SO Plus is equipped with a second weighing hopper and artificial intelligence. A new electronic architecture based on the Siemens PLC provides centralized system control and a customizable operator interface. The new LED lighting for quick visibility of possible malfunctions in the process and a protective device equipped with coded sensors ensure a high safety standard. Moreover, thanks to a motorized reel holder, the machine can work not only with conventional plastic films but also with the new paper films. The machine is completed by a renewed patented stripper-gripper system.
