GEA Offshore Technology

Visit us at the Offshore Technology Conference 2024

May 6-9, 2024
NRG Park Houston, Texas
Booth 1455

Our team of crude oil treatment specialists is headed to the Offshore Technology Conference where they will be available to address your concerns. GEA’s modular lines can be configured to meet your needs. This includes overcoming process issues and even converting off-spec crude into a full-value product. We want to help you reach and exceed your process goals.

Here are just a few of the challenges that you can review with us:
  • Increased water cuts. Our equipment can provide efficient crude oil dehydration via upstream installation of the GEA Crude Oil Treatment System.
  • Decreasing API. Installation of the GEA Crude Oil Treatment System as a parallel side stream to the existing equipment can bring back or even increase process performance.
  • Heavy crude processing. GEA centrifuges can efficiently treat crude oil with an API gravity of up to 12° in a 1- or 2-stage process setup.
  • Conversion of off-spec to full value product. Efficient and economic processing is possible with a tank-to-tank GEA Crude Oil Treatment System.
Our complete line of disk and decanter centrifuges meet stringent industry requirements in relation to both product quality and the environment, while contributing to reduced operating costs.
  • Our high-speed disk centrifuges with capacities of up to 80 m3/h are used in a variety of oil and gas applications. These include dewatering and desalinating heavy crude oil, processing contaminated drilling suspensions and sludges, or de-oiling bilge, drain and produced oil before it is recycled into the ocean. They are available in gas-tight design with nitrogen blanketing for reliable explosion protection (ATEX) and can be produced with duplex/super duplex steel as bowl material.
  • GEA has developed special decanters for treating drilling fluids. Apart from high-performing and top separation efficiency, the decanter centrifuges distinguish themselves through safe operation and robust design. The decanter centrifuges are self-contained skid mounted centrifuge systems on a single frame with integrated control panel. They are suitable for installation in ATEX Ex-Zone 1 (Category 2G) Temperature Class T3 according to European Standards when treating Drilling Mud (classified as non-explosive product), or US equivalent class 1, Division 1.
