Whether your company needs a study to help introduce a new product or tweak an existing recipe, develop a business case or adapt an existing production process to increase efficiency, the GEA Food Solutions Technology Center in Bakel is operational, even during the Corona crisis.
No time to waste
It is an essential resource for food processing companies to outsource testing and save valuable time and resources, should their day-to-day production capacity be fully engaged, helping them to meet their rising supply chain needs.
Feasibility studies, process improvements, yield studies, R&D tests … they all must continue, even during a crisis.
“It is (almost) business as usual for most food processors, so there’s no time to waste…”, Tim Pessers, Manager Technology Center Bakel
That is why the GEA Food Solutions fully equipped technology center in Bakel is up and running, with some adjustments due to the temporary COVID-19 regulations, available to support food processors, even from a distance if required or preferred.
Customers are still welcome to join a test in our TC, but we understand that for most it is not allowed due to company rules or government travel legislation. That is why our team of experts is testing at a distance. After an intake session where the goals are set for the test or demo, and the briefing is done, our Food Technologists will design the test.
“We can work with pre-shipped ingredients and instructions from our customer, or we can run a test using our experience, knowledge and materials.”
Tim Pessers, Manager Technology Center Bakel
After the test is completed, the results are collected and a test report including video, pictures and if possible samples, are shared and shipped.
And now, we can also offer the opportunity to ‘watch’ the test live from a distance. Tim continues: ‘Even though we are testing from a distance, it is very important to be able to interact. This gives the best end results and that is what we want to achieve, so our customers can focus on their production.”
