GEA Group Aktiengesellschaft is one of the largest suppliers of process technology and components for the food and energy industries. As an international technology group, the Company focuses on sophisticated production processes.
In 2012, GEA generated consolidated revenues in excess of EUR 5.7 billion, 70 percent of which came from the food and energy sectors, which are long-term growth industries.

Group structure
With effect from January 1, 2010, the businesses of the GEA Group were grouped into five segments without altering the overall portfolio of the group. Effective March 24, 2011, GEA Group successfully concluded the takeover of Convenience Food Systems (CFS), who are headquartered at Bakel, Netherlands.
With the acquisition of CFS, GEA has added to its group one of the most multi-faceted suppliers of secondary food processing and packaging machinery (meat, fish, cheese). A new, 6th, GEA segment under the today's name GEA Food Solutions is created following the expansion of the product portfolio. The structure provides a clear alignment of technologies and applications within the group.
