The PERFORMA™ P for the pharmaceutical and nutraceutical industries features the exclusive new Exchangeable Die Disc (EDD, patent pending) technology. The EDD enables even faster and easier format change-over than a conventional exchangeable turret, while requiring a far smaller investment.

PERFORMA™ P tablet press

The exchangeable turret of the PERFORMA™ consists of three separate parts: the upper punch guide, the Exchangeable Die Disc and the lower punch guide. The same pending arm can be used to either swing the entire turret out of the machine, or to remove just the top punch guide - clearing the way for the tablet press operator to lift the light-weight Die Disc out of the machine.

Benefits:

  • Fast and easy format change-over: duplicate Exchangeable Die Disc (EDD) allows off-line fitting and locking of the dies in the EDD. 
  • Minimized investment cost: only the EDD needs to be duplicated instead of the entire turret.

Using two Exchangeable Die Discs, maximum machine output can be achieved with a minimum of capital investment. This is a far more economical solution than duplicating the entire turret.

Bi-layer capability

The PERFORMA™ P can be supplied with a set of parts for bi-layer production. The bi-layer kit is a cost-effective solution for small to medium scale bi-layer manufacturing needs , is easy to install and adds greatly to the extraordinary versatility of the PERFORMA™ P tablet press.

The PERFORMA™ P can be supplied with a bi-layer kit, making the machine capable of both single- and bi-layer production. The bi-layer kit consists of a limited number of components and is very fast and easy to install.

In addition to its unique design and process control features creating higher productivity, the PERFORMA™ P now offers easy conversion from single-layer to bi-layer tablet production.

Outstanding features of the PERFORMA™ P in bi-layer configuration:

  • Unmatched accessibility of the compression area.
  • Integrated dust extraction nozzles, setting a new standard in design and efficiency and reducing cross contamination to an absolute minimum.
  • A 2,5 kN tamping station and a 80 kN final compression station. At main compression, the dwell time can be set regardless of the linear speed, so that even at high speeds, and with large tablet sizes, quality is ensured.
  • The second-layer feeder can be shut off, enabling first-layer sampling.
