Dehumidifiers

GEA is experienced in the design and supply of dehumidifiers for pneumatic conveying systems.

Dehumidifiers are used to control the temperature and moisture level of in-process air and pneumatic conveying systems, which is an essential requirement when conveying hygroscopic and heat-sensitive food products, and dairy powders.

Selection

System design engineering, as well as computer analysis is used to select the right equipment and solutions to meet your heat transfer requirements, including:

  • heating, cooling and dehumidification applications
  • water, glycol, and steam service fluids
  • customized design
  • self-contained refrigeration system units
  • low to high air capacities
  • air pressure from full vacuum to more than 1 Barg
  • low pressure drop design
  • low approach temperatures.

Features

Dehumidifiers lower the convey air temperature below the dew point, allowing moisture condensation, collection, separation and drainage. Features include:

  • 304 or 316 stainless steel and carbon steel
  • USDA dairy construction
  • copper or stainless steel tube and aluminium fin cooling coils
  • insulated housing
  • temperature and differential pressure gauges
  • self acting water flow control valve
  • electric or hot gas reheat system option
  • HEPA grade filter 99.97% efficiency at 0.3 micron
  • tool-free filter removal from housing
  • OD tube, flanged or ferrule process connections.
