Overview

Oil filters clean the oil off dirt in the refrigeration circuit.

OF Oil Filters

Oil filters are equipped with an exchangeable filter element made of rustproof metallic woven fabric or paper respectively. The filter element is self-centering and is kept in position by the cover. Only the filter elements of reputed producers are employed and are selected according to the desired fineness of the filter, filter material, direction of flow, rate of flow and viscosity. The medium passes through the filter element from the outside to the inside. Oil filters are suitable for employment in the oil cycles for industrial refrigerating plants and are are free from maintenance.

DOF Double Oil Filters

Double oil filters enable the filter elements to be replaced without interrupting the system's operation. They are used with paper filters with a filter-fineness of 15 μm. The medium flows from inside to outside. The size selection depends on the flow rate and the viscosity of the oil.

Oil pressure control valves are mechanically operated automatic regulating devices for maintaining constant differential pressure.

Extreme conditions, such as the starting phase of the compressor unit, are also considered. The valves are of angle-type design and have flanges or welding ends. They consist mainly of a welded or forge body, a tight piston, a stem, a cover, a spring and a cap.

The oil pressure control valve is located in a bypass between oil pump outlet and oil separator. The amount of oil fed to the compressor varies depending on operational conditions but is always less than the amount delivered by the oil pump. The excess oil is recirculated through the bypass (oil pressure control valve) to the oil separator. The oil pressure
 control valve keeps the differential pressure between oil pump outlet and oil separator nearly at a constant level. If the oil flow rate to the compressor drops, the differential pressure will increase, further opening the oil 
pressure control valve. If the oil flow rate to the compressor increases, the oil pressure control valve will close to the point where the 
differential pressure setting of the valve is reached again. Regulating the differential oil pressure between oil pump outlet and oil separator ensures a simple and constant oil supply to the screw compressor throughout its operating 
range. 

The valve seat is sealed by an O-ring seal. The flat or O-ring seal allows a defined depth of impression backed by a metal support.
 Oil pressure control valves are suitable for controlling the oil pressure in the oil circuit of screw-type refrigerant compressors. They comply with the technical regulations of the German Technical Control Board (TÜV).

SSO quick closing valves are suitable for installation in oil drain pipelines (oil drain valves) and in the parts of a system which are at greatest risk, such as 
level indicators, sight glasses, flexible pipes, etc.

They are opened by pulling the lever. The system pressure acting upon the sealing piston supports the opening.
 The pressure spring is dimensioned such that the sealing piston opens automatically if the system pressure rises > 20 bar. If the lever is released, the sealing piston closes automatically.
Sealing at the valve seat is ensured by a chloroprene O-ring seal.

Thermostatic 3-way valves are used in the oil management systems of compressors and circuits.

They automatically control the temperature of the oil flow within defined tolerances based on the thermal linear deformation of the integrated thermostatic control elements.
The inlets and outlets are fitted with flanges as per DIN EN 1092-1, in the compression phases PN 25, PN 40, PN 63 and/or flange to ASME B16.5 150lbs, 300lbs. Welding end and solder end types are also available. When the warm oil reaches the thermostatic control units, the latter expand and reveal a gap opening for the cold oil. Thus the warm oil (e.g. from the oil separator) and the cooled oil (e.g. from the oil cooler) start to mix. This keeps the oil temperature at the outlet of the thermostatic 3-way valve more or less constant.

Overflow valves, type UVU, are suitable for use as relief valves in the refrigerant cycles of industrial refrigerating plants.

Overflow valves are safety devices for protecting the refrigerating system or its components from excess pressure (see also DIN 8975 part 7). They open independently of back pressure and close if the pressure drops to the 10% range below the set pressure. They comply with the technical regulations of the German Technical Control Board (TÜV).
GEA AWP overflow valves are maintenance-free. Any defects that occur in the functional performance of the valves can be repaired.
