Brine preparation perfected
GEA ScanBrine brine preparation system offers controlled and efficient mixing of brines and marinades with the flexibility to easily adapt to meet specific application needs. Its functionality is essential for downstream processes, in use with massagers/tumblers, mixers and bowl cutters. For the preparation of thicker gravies and gels, GEA also offers the ScanGravy configuration.
Homogeneous brines and marinades are a critical factor in the marination process. GEA ScanBrine delivers perfect mixing from light brines up to heavy marinades. It features a modular mixing and storage tanks from 500 to 3000 liters, making it possible to expand the system and increase capacity. It is equipped with a single-speed stirring device, ergonomically placed ingredient hopper and automatic ingredient supply with brine level sensor. The pump/venturi circuit has a combination of 9 different nozzle sizes to fit different application needs.
For the preparation of gravies and gels, we offer the GEA ScanGravy. The ScanGravy stirs gravies and gels typical for pet food production. With the modular mixing and storage tanks, capacity can be increased. A recipe management system is available on PLC-controlled machines for easy operation and repeatability. The result: perfect brines, marinades, gravies and gels every time.
GEA ScanBrine is suited for the preparation of light brines up to heavy marinades. And GEA ScanGravy is suited for the preparation of gravies and gels.
Homogenic brine mix
It's all about process control
Modular and hygienic design
The modular design allows easy conversion and extension of features on either the mixing or the storage tank. For example pump size can be adjusted to meet the desired application. Or you can easily add a stirring device in all tank sizes and therefore convert your storage into a mixing tank.
The stirring device prevents sedimentation by constantly stirring and agitating the brine or marinade mix. The stirring device has two, three-wing propellers and can be set to two different speeds, depending on the specifications of the brine or marinade. Next to that the pedals are designed to reduce foam, while reaching maximum turbulence.
Option to have the mixing or storage tanks cooled to keep the brine or marinade at optimal temperature for further processing during the marination or preparation process.
