Düsseldorf (Germany), April 20, 2016 – Examples of GEA’s latest spray drying monitoring and safety solutions ¬– including the POWDEREYE™ inline powder analysis system and the SPRAYEYE™ nozzle monitoring system – will be on show at POWTECH 2016 in Nuremberg.

The POWDEREYE™ platform measures the powder properties of the end product, including residual moisture content, color and density, enabling timed or on-demand reference samples to be taken, and/or when an out-of-specification reading is detected.

The SPRAYEYE™ camera system is designed to monitor the nozzle systems in spray dryers. Cameras located in the spray dryer’s air disperser offer clients a choice of either a visual or infrared monitoring solution. The visual system can be used to monitor spray dispersal and identify nozzle leaks or product build-up on the spray nozzles. The infrared system helps to detect smouldering deposits.
