The company Hilge, based in Bodenheim (Germany), is specialized in products that include stainless steel centrifugal pumps. GEA, with its orientation to the process industry – especially the food and beverages industry – represents a strong strategic partner for Hilge. This acquisition will enable the realization of extensive synergy potential: for example, in the area of research and development. In addition, the worldwide GEA sales and service network will offer the possibility of a strengthened global presence.

“With the acquisition of Hilge, we can fill technological gaps and continue to complement our product portfolio toward providing complete process steps”, commented Jürg Oleas, CEO of GEA. “As a result, we can offer a greater variety of services to our customers in the future, in particular in the food and beverage industry.”

Visitors to the first joint GEA Hilge presentation at BrauBeviale, in Nuremberg from November 10 to 12, can obtain an overview of the new GEA portfolio. GEA specialists from engineering and sales will be pleased to provide expert advice at booth 602 in hall 7.
