GEA is always looking for talented and motivated individuals from around the globe who will help us to achieve our aim of ‘Engineering for a Better World.’

In return we can offer you a rewarding career in an environment that will encourage you to reach your full potential. If you are interested in joining us, here are some simple tips for making the right impression, first time.

How to apply

It’s important to remember that your application acts as a showcase for your achievements and qualifications and should contain the following:

  • A covering letter explaining why you would like to work for GEA and how your skills and experience meet the requirements outlined in the job description
  • Up-to-date CV
  • Relevant certificates – Bachelor’s degree, Master’s degree, diploma
  • References from past employers
  • A formal photograph

Wherever possible, documents should be submitted in PDF format, up to a maximum of 5MB.

If you are a student, you will need to provide certificates, an overview of the courses you have taken and the grades that you achieved.

Remember

  • Make sure your application fits the job profile
  • Check your application carefully for grammatical and spelling errors

Depending on the vacancy, you can submit your application by email or online.

Selection

We assess potential candidates according to their skills, experience and suitability for the position. For some positions, language skills are mandatory.

The most promising candidates will be invited to attend an interview, usually with the head of the relevant department, or function and HR manager. In some cases, applicants may be asked to complete a personality questionnaire or attend an assessment center. Where a candidate is living in a different country, interviews may be arranged by telephone or Skype.

Depending on the position and country location, there will be a second round of interviews before we make the final selection.

Remember

The interview is a two-way conversation – we want to know about your skills and experience, and you have the opportunity to find out more about us.

Be prepared to discuss your strengths and expertise and what you can contribute to the role and GEA.

Hiring and induction

In most cases, successful applicants will be informed by telephone. Finally, we will prepare your contract of employment and arrange all the relevant documents and equipment that you may need.

We appreciate that joining a large company can be a daunting experience and we aim to make your arrival as smooth as possible.
